EMO Oberflächentechnik breaks through into new dimensions when it comes to building tube cleaning systems. A tube cleaning system with a total length of 75 metres was delivered recently. Complying with the most stringent requirements for cleanliness, the system, which is probably the largest in the world, cleans and degreases stainless steel tubes for atomic power plants.
The patented VAIOCS process combined with unique plant technology sets new standards worldwide for cleaning and degreasing tubes. A technical highlight of the closed systems is the ability to tilt the treatment chamber which can be up to 30 metres long. This supports the cleaning process significantly and enables the chamber to be flooded and emptied quickly.
The new generation of systems enable aqueous and solvent-based cleaning stages to be combined in a single treatment chamber for the first time. The benefits of this process: Tubes can be cleaned in compliance with the most stringent requirements for cleanliness, and they are cleaned quickly and economically.
