A eight inch (8") diameter hob slide accommodates larger hobs containing more flutes, greater accuracy, longer hob life and a major improvement in finish. Maximum hob length is 10". The hob slide is mounted at the back of the work zone with the end support below the hob for maximum tooling clearances when hobbing high angles and small center distances.
High performance integral torque motor for C-axis work spindle drive 0-40 RPM, high accuracy position feed back +/- 1.4 arc seconds, liquid cooled, backlash free and maintenance free
Automatic lubrication is used to maintain precision accuracies and life to all bearing surfaces.
Electrical panel conforms to codes set by the National Machine Tool Builders Association (AMT) and to ANSI-NEPA 79. Fused disconnect insures against electrical overload.
