Special crankshaft regrinding machine-tools are designed for regrinding of main journals and crankpins of automobile and tractor internal combustion engines, compressors and other workpieces of crankshaft type in conditions of engine repair workshops and other repair agencies.

The crankshaft balancung at grinding crankpins is carried out by mobile weights placed behind workholder assemblies in the non-working zone.

There is a supplementary weight, which is fixed on the chuck faceplate, for balancing extra-heavy crankshafts.
