Model No. 17A GLEASON Hypoid Bevel Gear Testing Machine, suitable for the testing
of straight bevel, spiral bevel, and hypoid gears with shafts intersecting at
90-degrees, with capacity to test gears up to 20" (508mm) pitch diameter
The machine corresponds to the attached copy of factory literature, featuring the
following:

• hydraulic work chucking cylinders on pinion and gear spindles, (less draw-in bar
& nuts)
• 5-HP, 220/440 volt, 3-phase 60 cycle, 1670 rpm main drive motor
• 3/4 HP, 220/440 volt, 3-phase 60 cycle, 1745 rpm hydraulic motor
• pre-set backlash control
• brake spindle (2-19/64” bore dia. large end)
