In addition, the spindle is unloaded from bending forces, which ensures higher accuracy of machining parts. Turning and carousel machines are produced with two-post. The VTL-40 machines have the usual layout for two-post turning and carousel machines. The basic parts of the machines have a sufficiently high rigidity, which, in combination with the significant power of the main motion drive, ensures high-performance processing of workpieces of parts at power and speed cutting modes. The cross beam can be moved up and down along the guides of the racks and fixed in the desired position depending on the height of the workpiece being processed. The upper calipers move along the horizontal guides of the crossbars, the sliders - vertically in the guides of the rotary sleds. The slider can be mounted at an angle to the axis of rotation of the faceplate for the treatment of conical surfaces. The faceplate rotates from a motor through a 16-speed gearbox. Switching of rotational speeds is carried out by solenoid valves and hydraulic cylinders. The spindle, rigidly connected to the faceplate, rotates on two-row radial roller bearings, the inner rings of which have tapered landing holes that provide the ability to adjust the gap and create tension in order to achieve the necessary accuracy of rotation of the faceplate. The faceplate rests on flat circular slide guides with hydrodynamic discharge. The working movements of the calipers are carried out from the gearbox of the main movement drive through the 18-speed feed boxes, the installation movements are carried out from asynchronous electric motors located on the feed boxes. The value of the working feeds, the speed of installation movements and the directions of movement of the calipers are changed by means of electromagnetic couplings. Machine controls (buttons, switches, special lamps) are concentrated mainly on the pendant remote. When using special devices and devices that are supplied together with machines on special order, it is possible to produce diverse parts. The significant power of the electric motor of the main drive, the high rigidity of the basic parts and the sufficient strength of all elements of the kinematic circuit in combination with wide ranges of regulation of the speed of the faceplate and feed values allows high-performance work on the machines at speed cutting modes.
