The Kaufman DUOflex Horizontal Twin Spindle Machining System is designed for lower volume projects requiring a high-speed machine with ample power at the spindle. The load/ unload area is segregated from the work zone to allow for unloading during the machine cycle. The dual spindles share a common X and Y-axes with an independent Z-axis to facilitate easier set ups for the next project. Cast Iron Spindle carriers and column assemblies provide excellent dampening characteristics for heavy machining operations. The standard 35-hp. 8000-rpm spindle reaches full torque at 2000 rpm. Rapid Traverse rates are 1968 inches per minute. The overhead tool changer is separated from the work zone and will accept up to 20 HSK 63 tools per spindle standard, with greater capacity tool changers available as an option. The working cube is 400mm x 450mm x 400 mm (X, Y, Z) The machine is available with Indramat or Fanuc Controls.
