In 1987 the American Metal Stamping Association broadened its horizons and renamed itself and its publication, known then as Metal Stamping. The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International® (FMA), co-sponsor of FABTECH® International and publisher of The FABRICATOR®, launched STAMPING Journal to fill the void.

STAMPING Journal remains committed to providing helpful and thought-provoking technical information to metal stampers. For more than 15 years, STAMPING Journal has worked to follow the example set by The FABRICATOR, the bible for the metal forming and fabricating market. While others try to duplicate that broad coverage, STAMPING Journal always has been and always will be all stamping.
